Relationship with family: He is close to his father and looks up to him as a role model. 

He hates his mother after it came out that she had been cheating on Michael’s father the summer of his seventh year.  His parents finally got divorced once Julie graduated Hogwarts and moved out on her own. He has not spoken to his mother since, making it seven years or so since they have seen or spoken to each other.

He loves his sister and is very protective of her, even to this day. He is slightly less protective now that she is 25 and has her own life, but he still likes to check up on her and how she is doing.

Personality: Michael lives up to his Ravenclaw sorting in that he is a rather intelligent and smart person. He is a curious guy and likes to try to know every detail about anything he can get his hands on. He is fiercely determined and once he sets his mind to something he will not give up until he has reached his goals. He will take any avenue possible, allowed or not. He loved to read Transfiguration books the most when in school and still finds the whole subject rather thrilling. But despite his rather smart mind he does tend to slack off, so even though he could very easily get all O’s and E, he is rather average as far as grades are concerned.

He is a very goofy and amusing person. Michael loves to crack jokes and goof off with his friends, Terry and Anthony, who he is especially close to. If anyone dares hurt his friends he will lash out and do his best to defend them to the end. In those cases he can get really hot tempered and moody. It is best to not get on his bad side because his anger is not something to mess with.

He is an overall friendly person....sometimes too friendly and can be seen as a playboy by some. But he really doesn’t approve of that title but does not do much to dissuade that image, what with all his boasting and such. He is a romantic at heart and will do anything for his current girlfriend or significant other. He really tries to keep good relations with his ex. and treats all females with respect.

Michael does have his selfish moments. He can get lazy and get other people to do the work for him. He would rather let other people do the dirty work than getting his hands dirty. He can be sarcastic and snaky to his enemies and people he doesn’t like. He will say whatever is on his mind and is honest to a fault and will tell you what he thinks, even if it is painful to hear. Michael also can be a bit of a whiner and complainer. He can throw tantrums like a little kid when he doesn’t get his way. His friends always are there to smack sense into him and tell him to grow up.

Likes: Terry, Anthony, Cho, painting, being artistic, being honest, making jokes, spending time with his mates, reading transfiguration books, the DA, the Order, equality, alcohol, drinking and also flirting with girls would all rank in his likes.
Dislikes: Purists, his mother, the fact that he now dislikes his mother since he used to be so close to her, cheaters, most Slytherins, anyone who disrespects any of his friends, being bored, people who call him a playboy or anything down that avenue, thinking about how much he misses his best mate Anthony, he hates feeling guilty that he didn’t ‘try his best’ to protect Anthony even if he knows his death was not his fault

Strengths: Michael is an intelligent person and rather clever.  He likes to learn for learning sake and could spend hours on a subject if it interested him enough.  He is open to try new things, to a point anyways.  He is determined and headstrong person and will do anything to reach his goals.  He is also rather goofy and funny and loves to crack jokes.  He cares a lot about his friends and once he has made friends with you, he would do anything to stand up for you or protect you. Michael is an artistic person and is very good at painting.
Weaknesses:  He can be stubborn at times and can be hard to budge when he sets his mind on something. Michael is good at complaining and when he does not get his own way or if he is in a grumpy mood he will complain and through mini tantrums until he gets his way or gives up.  He can be closed minded about certain things and this causes him to miss out on certain things.  He can be awfully selfish and lazy and would rather have other people do the dirty work for him.  He can be sarcastic and a loudmouth. Also his devotion to his best mates can be a weakness if other people wanted to exploit that to their benefit.

Hobbies: He loves flying, star gazing, painting, sketching, spending time with Terry or his other mates when he can.

Boggart: His boggart is seeing Anthony’s dead body blaming him for his death.

Patronus: His patronus is a raccoon.
How does your character exemplify their House qualities? He is rather intelligent, despite his seeming laziness at times. He also has a love of learning and reading, especially when it pertains to potions or charms.

Appearance:

He just reaches a height of 5’10, but 5’9.5'' would be a more reasonable height.  He has dark brown hair that he likes to style so it falls just right.  Michael has a slight ego and thinks his face is his best feature.  He rather likes his eyes as well.  His gaze can be piercing at times and he has a habit of studying people’s appearance to get a sense for people and what they maybe feeling at the time. He has pale skin and burns easily if in the sunlight too long.  He has a welcoming appearance and it is this appearance that is a hit with the females, though he can look quite cocky and snooty when he wants to be.

Since he paints, a lot of his shirts will have some paint stains on them.  Michael likes the slightly messy look and has never bothered to magically clean any of them.   Michael likes to wear whatever feels comfortable on him, but he does care about his appearance a great deal and always tries to dress to impress everyone.  He is most comfortable in a pair of jean trousers, a tee shirt and a longer sleeve shirt on top of it.  During the fall and winter months he can be seen wearing jackets all the time. He has his own sense of style and goes with whatever he feels like.

History: Michael Tristan Corner was born November 10, 1979 to a pureblood father, Daniel River Corner and a half-blood mother named Elizabeth Julie Corner nee. Parker. His father never cared much for the importance of blood heritage and in marrying a half-blood, can be considered a ‘blood traitor’.  His father and mother met during school and were both former Ravenclaws. They fell in love after they graduated Hogwarts and three after they both graduated. They had Michael soon after they got married. His sister was born two years later.

From a very young age he was taught to be open to everyone and not let any preconceived notions influence his choices.  He has always been very protective of his sister and will not take kindly to anyone disrespecting her. Over the years he has gotten into a number of fights and arguments with people who even looked at her the wrong way. 

His parents were proud when he got his acceptance letter from Hogwarts and even more proud when he got sorted into Ravenclaw, though the hat did debate putting him into Slytherin. He quickly made many friends in his house, with a few scattered friends in other houses.  His next few years seemed to fly by in his eyes.  They were marred by various catastrophes though, but he never tried to involve himself in them.

His first few years were spent making friends and getting the hang of Hogwarts. He didn’t discover females until his forth year and after that his status as school playboy was born.  He still rather detests that moniker. He joined the DA along with his friends, in his fifth year because they rather detested Umbridge and would do anything to defy her. Plus he was dating Ginny at the time and she pushed him into joining the group.  His friends, Terry and Anthony joined along with him. That relationship didn’t last past the end of his fifth year. In the end of his fifth year, he then took up with Cho.  That relationship only lasted a few months, though they are still rather good mates and close.

He was rather shocked and saddened when Dumbledore died in the end of his sixth year and his family even debated pulling him out after that happened. They almost did but, they finally let him return after a last minute decision. While Harry, Ron and Hermione were off finding Horcruxes, Michael was doing his best to survive Hogwarts, though it was hard what with Alecto and Amycus teaching and ruling parts of the school. 

The DA was restarted and he along with all other the past members tried their best to train themselves and defend themselves from everything going on around them.  As the school year went on and he got more active in the DA once more, he rebelled more and more against the injustice he saw around him.  He even got tortured by the Carrows for trying to free a first year from imprisonment.

By the end of the school year, Michael was one of the many D.A. members in the Room of Requirement. When Harry, Ron, and Hermione returned to the school in May of 1998, Michael was one of the students who spoke up in favour of overthrowing the Death Eater professors, and participated in the discussion of the lost diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw. Michael later fought in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside his best mate Anthony. He suffered some injuries from the battle but it was the death of his best mate that hit him the hardest.

He vowed to do his best to make his friend proud and studied hard for his NEWTS. He got pretty good marks considering his many personal issues he had been dealing with. Michael then got into hit wizard training and after spending three years in training, became a full fledged hit wizard. Michael now lives in a flat in Covent Gardens.  It has been ten years since his best mate’s death, but his death still haunts him to this day.  He is close with Terry and his other close friends and tries to hide how he feels from them, but he doesn’t know how great of a job he is doing.
