Mother: Her mother, Christine Rose Greengrass nee. Baddock, is 50 years old. Her family had death eaters sprinkled about the family line. She was taught about the Pureblood teachings and how one of their social class must look down upon those of lesser standing. Her mother, unlike most Pureblooded females, does work as a famous magical novelist and journalist. She made sure to instill in her daughter very early, what she learned and was one of the key people in molding Daphne in who she is today. She is close to both of her parents and she respects and looks up to both of them for different reasons. She looks up to her mum for all she has accomplished and for how to be a respectable pureblooded lady. Her father is more of the lenient parent and gives her whatever she asks for most of the time. She talks to him about almost everything and loves both of her parents even if they can annoy her at times. Regarding her sister, she started out looking down on her because she took the attention off of her, but as they got older, she started feeling more protective over Astoria and now she is much more loving to her. She would do anything for her and will stand up for her when need be. (Details to be further discussed once her sister is cast) With her cousins, her relationship with Theodore is a complicated one. They are not as close as Daphne would like, since Daphne knows more about Julianas’ death (Thedore’s mother) as he would like. He is guarded around her and this upsets Daphne. She tries to show she cares about him and tries her best to become close with him, but her advances are not doing much good at the moment. (Details regarding Malcom Baddock will be discussed once a player is cast) Biography: Daphne was born She was quite pleased at the new leadership at Hogwarts since she quite liked Snape and the fact that Alecto and Amycus were teaching too, was a pleasant experience to her opposed to how some of the other students felt. Daphne loved the fact that she no longer had to deal with all the muggleborns at school. They were gone and she didn't have to worry about them getting in her way. She has now started to really give more thought to trying to apply herself to something serious instead of frivolous things like fashion design. She vowed to prove to not only herself, but to everyone else that she is better than the stereotype people label her as. What with the war heating up, she was growing increasingly tired of people seeing her as an airhead and not being taken seriously. Her seventh year proved to be a time of great introspection for Daphne. She started paying more attention to her schoolwork and being more active in helping her best mate Pansy with the Inquisitorial Squad and the like. She gave more thought into what she wanted to do when she graduated and started giving working in the Ministry in some compactly serious thought. Despite the fact that she had been getting more vocal and active in the political events going on, she did not participate in the final battle in Hogwarts. Instead, she along with the other Slytherins escaped before they were put in harms way. Daphne does wish she had been able to fight for the cause she believed in, but knew that she was not skilled enough to last in a battle. Once she graduated, she applied for a Ministry job and after starting out as a measly Secretary got promoted until just recently she got hired as the new Junior Ministry Spokesperson. She takes her job very seriously, but still works on her fashions designs as a serious side hobby as she still gets satisfaction from it. Daphne lives with her younger sister in a nice flat in Notting Hill. Her parents have gotten more persistent in finding her a suitor and the pressure from her family has been getting to her. It is things like this that makes her just slightly envious of non Purebloods who do not have to worry about finding suitors at such a young age. She isn't overly nice to many people. She will be friendly to most of the other Slytherins as long as they do not do anything to annoy her. She is also a flirt and will give any bloke the chance as long as they are fit and have lots of money. Daphne also is a girl who, despite being a female in a Purist family, is quite the feminist. She strongly believes that females can do whatever males can do and works hard to disprove the notion that females are second class to males or are not as intelligent or strong. Weaknesses: Spoiled, selfish, needy, conniving, liked to show off, headstrong, narrow minded with people she is not friends with, can get short with people, being vane. Boggart/Fears: She is scared of spiders or really any insect. She is scared of appearing to be ugly. This is why she has an obsession with mirrors and making sure she looks perfect. Her boggart is her appearing as an old hag, rocking in a rocking chair with many cats around her. In short her one true fear is being old and alone. Likes/Dislikes: Likes: Wealth, muggle fashion, herself, attention, blokes, pureblood supremacy, death eaters, Theodore Nott, Pansy Parkinson, all other former Slytherins, beauty, lying, deceiving others, strawberries, shagging, mirrors Sister/Roommate: Daphne used to be very jealous of Suggested Characters: Co-Worker: She works with this person in the Ministry. They do not have to work in the same department that Daphne does but they do know of each other. This person does not like the fact that Daphne has such a cushy job and feels like Daphne does not deserve her position. They do not get along and whenever they run into each other it always ends up an argument of some sort. Ex-Boyfriend: She used to date said person either in Daphne’s seventh year or shortly after they graduated. She was starting to get serious with this person until it ended rather abruptly. She was heartbroken over the split and still holds a secret flame for him even if she is still rather sore over it and has a tendency to fight with him. Dasheill and Christine knew each other from the pureblood gatherings and formed a friendship in school despite their three year age difference. Their parents caught on to this and pushed these two together for marriage. As per the pureblood tradition, they got engaged once Christine reached her seventh year of Hogwarts and were married once she graduated. Christine had Daphne a year or two later to great fanfare by all.
Father: Her father, Dasheill Roger Greengrass, is 53 years old. His family was quite wealthy and quite respected in the Pureblood circles. He, like his parents before him, strongly supported the cause, but kept a neutral eye to the public, preferring to work behind the scenes instead of on the front lines like the Lestranges. Her father owns a very successful potions shop in town and gave very generously to the Dark Lord, though was never marked.

Other family: She is a pureblood, so she is related to all the other Pureblood families somehow. The Greengrass’ are related specifically to the Baddock family from her mother’s side of the family. Theodore Nott and Malcom Baddock are both her cousins from her mother’s side of the family.
Relationships with each:
Her family also taught her the importance of blood lineage and Pureblood superiority and Daphne believes all of it to this day with no question. She looks down on muggles and half-bloods, but tries to not say the word mudblood since she finds it rather uncivilized and not proper speech for a female. It would be wise to assume that her parents supported the Dark Lord but, both of them were never marked, as they found themselves more able to benefit the cause without having to worry about anyone seeing the mark or suspecting them. They keep a low profile, but give VERY generously to the cause and get rewarded richly for it. Daphne was taught to only associate with those like her as is evident by who she chooses to socialize with. She was more the faithful pureblood mother like Narcissa verses the fighting on the front lines Bellatrix, but if push came to shove she would swing either way.
When she turned 11 she was sent to Hogwarts and her parents were very proud when she was sorted into Slytherin, since they both were former Slytherins as well. She couldn’t see herself being in any other house. She quickly joined Pansy’s group of friends and to this day the both of them are quite close. Pansy is like a second sister to her and out of all her friends, she is her closest.
She was never one to be concerned with school work and never really put a lot of effort into it early on, since she wanted to be a fashion designer anyways. She would have no need for most of the things she was learning anyways. She spent many hours just sketching in her many sketchbooks, chatting with her mates, flirting with the blokes or antagonizing anyone she saw fit. It took her until her third year to get used to Hogwarts, since she was so used to being waited on at home or living in her rather spacious and plush bedroom. She complained and sent many owls back home about the horrible food and living conditions. Daphne was a fairly spoiled girl and always had to have things her way or she would throw fits.
Her third year was also spent helping Pansy taunt Hermione Granger and her friends as she couldn’t stand the lot of them. In her forth year, she was one of the many people who happily wore the ‘Potter Stinks’ badges and was rooting for Krum to win since she knew about how Durmstrang focused on the Dark Arts so much.
Her fifth year was when she really started to get more serious in her fashion designing career goals. She started taunting the other students less and working more. She would spend many hours that year by the lake or the Slytherin Common room sketching and sewing away. Daphne was very happy for her best mate Pansy when she got awarded the Prefect position. She was even more proud when she got appointed to be in the Inquisitorial Squad. Daphne always had a smug look on her face they year and took great pleasure in seeing everyone grumble about how awful Umbridge was. She was rather disappointed when she was not able to return at the end of the year.
The sixth year brought the death of Dumbledore. She was very happy when she heard what happened. She never really liked the man and in her mind it was about time he died anyways. There was never a question as to where her loyalties lay, though she really was not one who wanted to get marked. She would help in her own way from the outside, just like her parents had done. It was in her sixth year that she started thinking that maybe she wanted to contribute more to society than just being a fashion designer. She was tired of how people only saw her as a pretty, rich girl with nothing to offer society. What with the war getting heated, she wanted to help in some way. She was now in a crossroads as to her career plans.
The summer of her seventh year was a time when the second war really heated up and sides were drawn. Daphne and her family took the side of the Death Eaters and were loyal followers. Voldemort took power of the Ministry while fellow DEs took control of Hogwarts. She was thrilled at how everything was shaping up; the fact that all muggleborns and mixed bloods were forced into prison or hiding brought a pleased smirk onto her face. The fact that some Purebloods were locked up did not sit well with her, but she figured that they were the traitors and deserved it in the end, despite their blood type.
Personality: Daphne was born May 22 to pureblooded parents. She has one younger sister and lives in a rather spacious but not overly big house in

This is due to both their imaginative mental agility and to their skill with words,' and that fits her to a 'T'. She is very skilled at being able to lie and tell tall tales so well that almost everyone believes them. Daphne can be sugar and spice to your face, but behind your back she is conniving and plotting against you.
She can be open minded and willing to bend to a point, but only her close friends can wield that power with her. With her close friends she is rather cheerful and deadly loyal. She loves gossip and spending time with her friends. If anyone disrespected one of them the full force of Daphne will rain down upon you. She loves using her looks as a weapon.
She has never particularly approved of muggles or muggleborns - although she usually doesn't use the word 'mudblood' simply for its lack of elegance. However, the political alliances of both her and her family are kept tightly under wraps.
Quirks/habits: She has a bad habit of tapping her foot when anxious or annoyed. She also runs her hands through her hair quite a bit. Daphne loves to look at herself in the mirror and always has to make sure her makeup is on just right. She had a habit of flirting with blokes just because she wants or craves attention.
Strengths: Determined, being able to lie convincingly, deadly loyal to her friends, giving with her friends, caring, works hard to accomplish her goals, will stand up for her mates, wants to make a name for herself.
Dislikes: Muggles, muggleborns, halfbloods, anyone not in Slytherin unless you’re a bloke who is fit and rich...then she may grant a one time exception, blood traitors, being ignored, goody-goodies, not looking good
